We are delighted to have been acknowledged as a Sunday Times Best Place to Work and successfully recognised for having consistently high levels of employee experience and wellbeing for the second year.
This nationwide workplace survey honours and celebrates the UK’s top employers. To achieve a high overall engagement score, an organisation must score well across WorkL’s six-step framework:
- Reward and Recognition
- Instilling Pride
- Information Sharing
- Empowerment
- Wellbeing
- Job Satisfaction
Why we were recognised:
Sometimes all you need is tea and toast. This is one of the social events for 170 people at Bradford law firm Schofield Sweeney. The business aims to offer some of the best work-life balance in its industry, while donating 170 days of employee time annually to causes such as children’s outdoor education. Employees can work partly from home, there is healthcare insurance, support in tough times from mental-health first aiders and a social calendar from posture clinics to the “Great Schoey’s Bake Off”.
It’s important to us to create a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported, and recognised. Whether it’s mental health first aiders, financial wellbeing sessions, tea & toast mornings, playing for our football team, or our annual camping trip, there’s always something happening to bring everyone together. We offer a wide range of benefits designed to support our colleagues, be inclusive and provide reassurance when it’s needed the most.
“We’re proud of our strong reputation as a firm that people want to work with and work for. The best workplaces attract top talent, and that talent delivers exceptional support and advice to our clients. Thank you to all our colleagues for their role in this recognition and for making the firm such an outstanding place to work, grow, and build a career.” Ann-Marie Keighley, Marketing Director
