Landmark deal marks local football team’s growth

20th July 2020

David Cowgill and the team have acted for Sutton Juniors Football Club on the move to their new stadium, which marks an exciting new chapter for the club.

The deal builds on previous transactions whereby the firm has assisted and advised local sports clubs as they continue to grow and serve their local communities.

Following involvement with the pitches and facilities which provide the current home for Ilkley Town Football Club, this transaction was a landmark move for Sutton Juniors FC as they move to their own ground and facilities for the first time since the club was established in 1998.

“It is a real community club and the team here at Schofield Sweeney were well placed to ensure the transaction concluded. This not only involved the granting of the lease but also the formation of the club to a CASC (Community Amateur Sports Club). The club can now begin preparations for the new season ahead. It is a huge positive for the local area and enables the club to continue to cater for over 300 children through to adults” David Cowgill, partner, commercial property.
