Hermes advised on Bolton depot acquisition

26th February 2021

We are pleased to advise one of the UK’s largest parcel delivery companies, Hermes, on the acquisition of a new, purpose built 80,000 sq ft depot in Bolton.

The new facilities once completed will provide Hermes with the ability to provide enhanced services for their existing and future customer base, whilst also enabling Hermes to handle higher volumes.

The team was led by partner Amraj Boparai, with support from construction partner, Andrew Hurst, on the legal and construction documents on the development of the depot.

“The volumes which Hermes have experienced in the past 12 months have been incredibly high and this latest acquisition will underpin Hermes’ continued growth. As always, it was a real pleasure working with Deborah and her team and we are really pleased with the outcome and look forward to seeing the finished unit.” Amraj Boparai.

Commenting on the acquisition, Hermes’ estates manager, Deborah Faithfull, said: “Amraj and his team provided an excellent, efficient service from the outset and ensured that what was a complex deal ran smoothly from start to finish. They delivered a quick turnaround and we are delighted with the outcome as it forms a key part of our on-going strategic programme.”

We are also pleased to be appointed to Hermes’ property and litigation legal panel, following a successful tender and interview process.
