A 13-strong group of volunteers from across all three offices arrived bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at Nell Bank Outdoor Education Centre, Ilkley, entertaining and leading 500+ students at Nell Bank’s HAF event.
The students, hailing from various schools in West Yorkshire, participated in the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme. The program, supported by the Department for Education, is designed to offer children from disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to enjoy enriching activities and healthy meals during their school holidays.
Annie Hui-Gillen, Director, who organised the volunteer day commented: “This marks our fourth consecutive year volunteering at Nell Bank. The dedication and effort the charity invests in creating memorable experiences for students is nothing short of inspiring. Since supporting Nell Bank during its first HAF events four years ago, it has been uplifting to witness its growth and commitment to welcoming more students each year. We’re always eager to support this wonderful cause in any way possible.”
