Pardeep, Farooq, Basharat and Christopher attended the Pakistan flood appeal dinner hosted by Yorkshire County Cricket Club on the 10 October.

The dinner highlighted the recent devastation to Pakistan due to flooding with 20% of the country (an area larger than the British Isles) being severely damaged or destroyed. Currently there are 12 million homeless who are in urgent need of food, clean water and temporary accommodation.

Islamic Relief has helped design new houses for the families affected with a unit cost of £2,000 each. The design is flood resistant and ensures they can withstand further flooding in the future.

A massive thanks to those who attended (including our own very generous guests) with over £60,000 being raised on the night. Well done to all involved!
