The Experian IQ report looks at the activity of legal and financial advisers in Yorkshire and the Humber’s M&A sector, as well as the fortunes of the dealmaking sector during the period.

The team has had a positive start for M&A business in 2022 with the sale of AlphaPlus to AQA.
Despite a slower volume of deal volumes in the last quarter, Yorkshire and Humber-based companies were involved in 9.2% of all UK deals in 2021 reaching a total of 634 transactions for the whole year, a 15% increase from 2020. The positivity in deal numbers was reflected in transaction values, which saw an impressive rise of 51% to just over £17.4bn.
