Acting for a print and packaging company in a multi-million-pound dispute concerning the liability of an insurance company to provide an indemnity for losses arising from catastrophic damage to a printing press – Contact (Print and Packaging) Ltd v Travelers Insurance Co Ltd [2018] EWHC 83 (TCC).
Advising an individual in pursuing a multi-million-pound High Court misfeasance claim for diversion of assets, including obtaining a freezing injunction.
Acting in the High Court for two individuals in defence of a multi-million-pound claim brought by their formal business associate and involving the infrequently pleaded torts of economic duress and undue influence.
Representing a multi-national company in respect of data theft and breach of restrictive covenants by a departing employee, including the obtaining of injunctive relief.
Aside from his commercial litigation practice, Simon provides specialist advice to businesses on the topics of economic sanctions and export controls. As an element of this work, Simon has assisted clients in preparing for export compliance audits by the UK government and implementing export compliance programmes for multi-national businesses.
Simon has also spoken at a number of keynote events. These include presenting seminars on the topic of UK export controls to audiences of Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce members and delegates at aerospace and defence industry events.
