2025 will be Bradford’s year in the limelight. By next December millions of people will have visited the city during UK City of Culture year. But after they and the press and TV cameras have left, will Bradford have lasting economic prosperity from one of the biggest years in its history?
The city’s leaders are already thinking about the legacy effect – to capture the feel-good factor of residents and businesses and draw new investment in from Britain and abroad. However, how will that be achieved? Can the city learn from the experiences of other places to have had culture epochs like Hull, Coventry, Liverpool and Glasgow?
At this free-to-attend Insider breakfast, we look at planned and potential infrastructure projects and what those buildings have already created, or refurbished for the City of Culture year and what it might deliver for the arts and culture sector. Also we consider how businesses and sectors might grow and attract more inward investment.
