A team from the firm have gathered to plan and build our racing cart for Bradford Soapbox Challenge.

Utilising our initial base of the soapbox from our entry last year which had a law theme, our renovations began (see how we did last year here). It has been all hands on deck with new brakes and a firmwide call for newspapers to build our papier mache frame.

We can now reveal our theme this year is the tortoise and the hare!

Although we’ll enjoy the thrill of hurdling down a ramp and running after a tortoise, dressed as a hare, we are not just doing the soapbox challenge for a bit of fun, we have entered the challenge to raise as much money as we can and make a difference for our charity of the year, Age UK. All funds raised will be going to Age UK Bradford district who provide vital advice, support and friendship to the elderly. Fred’s story symbolises the many experiences of the 1.2 million older people across the UK who often feel lonely. Age UK is determined to be there to provide support.

It’ll be a great (free) day out for all the family so please come along and cheer us on. There will be continual commentary on the exciting race as well as a funfair, live music and lots of local food and drink outlets to choose from.
