The role
Working closely with others in a collegiate and supportive environment, you will take a lead role on a broad range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions; corporate re-organisations; joint ventures; structured lending and general corporate advice.
As a senior member of our team, we also want you to help grow and develop our business further. You will be encouraged to use your business development and networking skills to build long-lasting, sustainable relationships with clients and external professionals.
The person
You will need to be an experienced lawyer, ideally with at least 5 years PQE. You will also need to have proven expertise in all aspects of corporate matters. This is likely to mean that you have handled large, complex transactions, and that you will have extensive experience of advising on joint ventures and other shareholder arrangements, and most aspects of corporate governance.
You must be able to demonstrate well established drafting skills and be able to explain complex legal matters in a clear, relevant and concise way. You must be able to engage with clients, to act as their trusted advisor.
It is essential that you are people-focused, approachable and keen to assist with the development of others. Team fit is therefore vital. You will also need to be personable, possess sound judgment, an analytical mind and a confident approach.
