Ashley has over 30 years’ experience working with high-net-worth clients and advising them on wills, trusts, probate and tax planning.
He has been involved with their affairs as an advisor, trustee, attorney, executor and court of protection deputy. He likes to plan clients’ matters with them in conjunction with other professional advisors so that the long-term planning of succession of family assets and tax issues can be put in place and kept up to date.
Work highlights include:
- Being heavily involved with cases that have succeeded in the High Court regarding the proving of missing Wills for Probate and overturning gifts made with the effect of undue influence.
- Inheritance tax planning involving businesses and substantial family assets.
Ashley is a member of the Huddersfield and Dewsbury Law Society Committee and a past president and public relations officer of that committee.
