An overview of our fees and timescales for premise licences.

Licencing

New premises license applications

We normally charge a fixed fee of between £1250 and £2500 plus VAT for preparing your premises licence application.  The fee will depend on the complexity of your application, the amount of work involved, and the circumstances surrounding your premises. In each case, we will discuss your requirements and agree a fee in advance.

In addition, you will be required to pay for the following disbursements:

  • Application fee, dependant on the rateable value of your premises
  • Advertisement fee set by your local newspaper
  • Plans with the licensed area shown in a red line
  • Any further disbursements around the service of the site notices or the application

Once the application has been served on all parties, it could follow one of several paths.  If no representations are received, the application is normally granted without any further work required.  If representations are received, we will try to resolve any issues to enable the application to be granted.  Where that is not possible the application will go to a hearing and in some cases, it may go to an appeal.  For all post-application attendances, we will charge you on an hourly rate for the work that we do.
