Head down to Leeds Town Hall at 9am to cheer on the team – Hannah Cullen, Jessica Townend, Emma Rowley, Charles Thorpe, Zee Ntini, Suzy Overton, Sophie Brazier, Kirsty Cronin, Oliver Brooke, Daniel Bisby, Michael Cantwell, Leo Jones-Rowe and Tom Jackson.
Age UK Leeds has over 100 volunteers that deliver services and activities for the elderly population in the Leeds region. Their services are more vital than ever due to the growing issue of loneliness amongst the elderly in the wake of the pandemic, the current cost of living crisis and the strain on public services that the country is facing. The services Age UK provides includes personal care at home, supporting day care centres, dementia support and support for carers.
They also organise activities and events such as Enjoy Digital sessions, Moving With Confidence programmes, Remember Together sessions for those with dementia and Ways to Wellbeing sessions, allowing elderly people to connect and stay active.
