Lancashire-based Savoy Timber Ltd, has been acquired by the newly established company called Savoy Timber Holdings Ltd. The recently founded company, based in Bradford, was founded by Chris Powell of Estate Sawmills Ltd in Heaton.
Banking for the deal was provided by NatWest, with legal advice provided by Manjit Virdee, Sadia Ali and Kate Fox.
Kate Fox commented, “It was a fantastic opportunity to work with Nat West on this job, given the local interest and we wish Chris Powell and his team at Estate Sawmills Ltd all the very best for the future and we look forward to watching them grow.”
Savoy Timber Ltd, a family-owned company with over 70 years in the industry, has grown into a successful timber merchant group with a £15 million turnover.
This acquisition strengthens the company’s presence in the North and the UK market, with operations already in Preston, Blackpool, and Wigan, along with an online shopping platform.
