David Ryan

David is an experienced real estate lawyer and has previously worked for HM Land Registry.

He has experience in a broad range of commercial property matters, from sale and purchase to landlord and tenant matters plus commercial development and real estate finance. David has also acted for landowners entering into telecoms agreements, as well as others seeking to sell land for potential redevelopment (including housing) and as property support for corporate transactions in the pharmacy sector and wider commercial deals.

Work highlights:

• Acting for a national supermarket undergoing expansion in the West Yorkshire area, both on freehold acquisitions and leases of new build units.
• Advising an established property investor on management of a newly acquired office building in Manchester, including reviewing and redrafting specimen leases and assisting with transferring tenants to the new form agreements.
• Assisting with the disposal of land in Wakefield for residential development, including finalising detailed transfers of part and advising on issuing consents for plot sales under the terms of existing agreements (and restrictions on the title registers).
• Assisting with the management and development of a significant mixed property portfolio in Greater London, including ancillary development matters such as rights of light and crane oversailing.

On a voluntary basis, David is a school governor at Pudsey Grammar School and a member of Bradford Catenians.
