As an award-winning and leading Yorkshire law firm our reputation is built upon offering our clients an excellent tailored service, which provides them with clear, pragmatic advice.
Our residential property team provides an efficient, personal service which offers great value to our clients, who have the added reassurance that as members of the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS), we take the quality of our services very seriously.
In addition, we also work with estate agents and other intermediaries locally and nationally, as well as being a panel law firm for most high street banks and secondary lenders.
We now have a new vacancy for an experienced conveyancer to join our Huddersfield office, who will help shape and embed the way in which we provide our conveyancing services.
With responsibility for the day-to-day co-ordination of our conveyancing teams in both our Huddersfield and Bradford offices, you will ensure that we deliver a unified conveyancing service to our clients.
The underlying philosophy is ‘work better, work smarter, work together’, which means your priority is to motivate and lead our group of conveyancers, assistants and secretaries to provide a high quality service which reflects the standards and values of Schofield Sweeney.
You will ensure a ‘one firm’ approach, unifying systems, implementing models of best practice and establishing internal standards and benchmarks where necessary.
Working closely with directors and partners, this is an opportunity to take a leading role on change management within our conveyancing service.
Although you will not carry a caseload of files, you will need to step in to help during periods of holiday or peak workloads, so you will need to have proven technical knowledge of the residential conveyancing process and ideally, a good working knowledge of the CQS.
We are looking for an experienced manager who can lead, coach, mentor and manage a multi-site conveyancing team.
Ideally, you will have already led or managed a change management process (for example, implementing a new case management system) and be capable of identifying and implementing best practice solutions.
You will need to be a collaborative team player, capable of leading people, establishing trust and respect in an empathetic way.
Although based in our Huddersfield office (and subject to normal safety protocols), the nature of the role will require you to travel to our Bradford office on a frequent basis.
If you have the skills and experiences we are looking for and this is an opportunity you would like to pursue, then we want to hear from you.
Please send your CV and a covering e-mail, including details of your current or most recent salary to our HR manager, Neil Towse – email@example.com.
