As an award-winning Yorkshire law firm, our reputation is built upon offering our clients an excellent tailored service, which provides them with clear, pragmatic advice.
Our client base is extensive, and in addition to our business clients, which include SMEs, PLCs and large multinationals, we provide legal services to charities and the education sector and advise individuals on everything from moving home to tax planning.
Our excellent team of lawyers are smart problem solvers who work collaboratively to become trusted advisers to our clients.
These skills are particularly important in our Private Wealth and Succession team, where protecting private or family wealth can be highly complex and emotionally charged.
We place huge value on building personal relationships and ensuring clarity and are trusted by generations of families, trustees, business owners and landowners based in the UK and overseas.
The role
Our vacancy in Huddersfield is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to take a step up in their career and play a key role in the long-term development of our Private Wealth team.
You should already have a breadth of expertise in corporate and trust-based private wealth and succession planning and be able to offer pragmatic and commercial support and advice to clients on all aspects of private wealth and succession services, such as wills, trusts and probate, succession planning, lasting powers of attorney and capital taxes.
However, this isn’t just a role providing legal advice so you must also have the experience and the skills to supervise, develop and mentor less experienced lawyers, be able to contribute towards the development of our Private Wealth client strategy and eventually, to lead the Huddersfield team to new successes.
If you are ambitious and looking for a career pathway to a senior level but also want to work in a friendly, inclusive and understanding environment where your wellbeing will be supported, this could be your ideal career move.
What we’re looking for
For the level and breadth of experiences we are looking for, you will probably be a solicitor with several years PQE.
You will need to demonstrate an approachable, friendly and open working style, with the ability to build and maintain relationships, ideally with High Net Worth clients and/or business owners.
Excellent communication skills are essential, and you must be able to demonstrate empathy and sensitivity.
This role falls within our hybrid working arrangements, which incorporate elements of working from home combined with office-based working.

If you have the skills and experiences we are looking for and this sounds like a career opportunity you would like to pursue, then we want to hear from you.
