As an award-winning and leading Yorkshire law firm, a Sunday Times Best Places to Work and a Times Best Law Firm, we’re known as a firm people want to work with, and work for.
We are a firm committed to the wellbeing of our colleagues and take great pride in maintaining a culture which places genuine value on a compassionate and inclusive team environment.
We act for a range of clients including owner-managed businesses and start-ups, with particular experience of advising clients in the IT and software, manufacturing, professional services and retail sectors.
The team
Our Residential Conveyancing team provides an efficient, personal service which offers great value to our clients, who have the added reassurance that as members of the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS), we take the quality of our services very seriously.
In addition to working with private individuals, we also work with estate agents and other intermediaries locally and nationally, as well as being a Panel law firm for most high street banks and secondary lenders.
We now have a new vacancy for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to provide administrative support to the Conveyancing lawyers in our Bradford office.
What you’ll be doing
Provide administrative assistance to the Conveyancing Fee Earner to manage their caseload of instructions, which will include opening and closing files.
Processing tasks and correspondence on the case management system.
Using the land registry portal to request title documents and submit applications for registrations.
Use the LMS and lender exchange portals to download documents.
Liaise with clients on behalf of the lawyers, to ensure excellent client service levels are maintained.
About you
You should be used to working in a demanding environment, with a proven ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent organisational skills are essential, and you should ideally be familiar with using case management systems (preferably P4W).
You must have a professional, accurate and methodical approach to work and enjoy a busy workload. You will need to demonstrate initiative, be proactive, and, most importantly, you should enjoy working as part of a team.
We take pride in delivering excellent client service, so you will also need to be skilled in managing communications, both over the telephone and in writing.
This role falls within our hybrid working arrangements, which incorporate elements of working from home combined with office-based working.
