Rob acts for businesses and individuals, offering expertise and advice on a wide range of corporate transactions.
He came to the law later in life having first qualified as a chartered accountant with what is now PWC. He has been finance director of a number of private companies and both CFO and CEO of a public company whose shares were listed on the London Stock Exchange.
He now acts for a wide range of clients in such matters as share purchases, share sales, business purchases, business sales, shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, joint ventures, completion accounts and earn out agreements etc.
Work highlights include:
• Acting for Cubico Group (Easy Bathrooms) and its shareholders in relation to the £6.5m investment by Growth Partner LLP in November 2020
• Acting for the shareholders of the Wilby Insurance Brokers in their sale to PIB Group in a deal valued at over £10m.
• Advising on the sale of the Newsholme Food Group to Kepak, a large Irish company.
• Equally important as these larger deals – representing many smaller businesses in various corporate acquisitions and disposals.

Rob is a non-executive director of Paxman A.B. whose shares are quoted on NASDAQ First North. Paxman is a client of the firm and its subsidiary, Paxman Coolers Limited, manufactures scalp cooling caps for use by chemotherapy patients from its base in Huddersfield.
Rob is a member of the audit committee of the council of Huddersfield University.
Having qualified as a Level 2 craftsman and as an instructor with the Dry Stone Walling Association, this is how Rob now spends much of his leisure time.
