Recent changes to the law have created new rights to carry out some developments without the need to obtain planning permission. This webinar looks at two of these new rights – the new ‘class E’ commercial, business and services use and the new ‘Class A’ right to build some new homes. It will consider how these rights could enhance the value of your property, how to apply them and what tenants and landlords will need to consider in their leases.
On the webinar, Amanda Beresford, our head of planning and partner, will explore the new rights while David Cowgill, commercial property partner, will outline the impact of the use classes order changes on existing and new leases.
We will also be joined by our guest speaker John Brooks, director and head of planning consultancy at WSP in Leeds. He will outline the prior approval process necessary to implement some of the new rights.
