Legal appointment boosts international links Commercial lawyers Schofield Sweeney are targeting new Asian business ties following the appointment of an International Business law specialist from one of India’s largest and fastest-growing firms. Kavita Roy joins Schofield Sweeney’s Bradford office from a position in Mumbai and New Delhi as partner in corporate and commercial law firm, Fox Mandal Little. With a wealth of private practice experience, Kavita, who is qualified as a solicitor in both India as well as in England & Wales, has acted for high-profile clients including India’s largest media house, the Bennett Coleman Company (which publishes some of the world’s largest circulated newspapers). She has written and co-authored publications specialising in IP theft in the Indian film industry and energy sectors.
Kavita will work closely with Chief Executive, Martin Sweeney, who comments: “Kavita is one of India’s top lawyers and we are incredibly lucky to have her in the team here.
