COMMERCIAL PROPERTY IS FOCUS AS SCHOFIELD SWEENEY EXPANDS LEEDS OFFICE

Schofield Sweeney Solicitors has further strengthened its Leeds office with a number of new appointments.

Rob Hayes has joined Schofield Sweeney’s Leeds office. He has expertise in all aspects of commercial property transactions and joins the firm from Addleshaw Goddard where he worked for 11 years as a commercial property lawyer and ultimately as a legal director in the Real Estate department. Prior to this, Rob trained and qualified with Clifford Chance in London. His move to Schofield Sweeney strengthens the firm’s Leeds-based property department and takes the team to four partners.

Specialising in the property aspects of corporate transactions as well as property work in the railway and health sectors, Rob’s new role at Schofield Sweeney will see him acting on a range of the firm’s commercial property clients. He will also be working closely with Andrew Hurst and the Projects team on the groundbreaking Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) schemes for the health sector as well as on other health and education projects.

Tina Liddell joins Schofield Sweeney’s property team as a partner having previously worked as a senior associate at Pinsent Masons. Tina brings with her ten years’ experience in commercial property law and her appointment adds significant depth to the Firm’s commercial property team in Leeds.

Tina specialises in property investment and development and will be working with the Firm’s existing developer clients.

Richard Wilkinson also joins the Leeds property team after qualifying as an assistant solicitor, relocating from the Firm’s Bradford office. He will be responsible for general commercial property work.

The corporate team in Leeds also sees some changes. Pauline Hanratty qualifies as a solicitor after training with the Firm while Hugo Martin relocates from the Bradford office to work as a solicitor.

Senior Partner, Chris Schofield, said: “We have worked very hard to build a strong team in Leeds and Rob and Tina’s appointments are part of that process. We are delighted that we have been able to recruit such high quality individuals to the firm.”
