SCHOFIELD SWEENEY STRENGTHENS
Schofield Sweeney, the Yorkshire law firm, has further strengthened its Corporate Finance team with a new partner. Laurie Dale joins the Leeds office and will be the fourth partner in the Corporate Finance practice area. He joins Schofield Sweeney having previously worked as an associate in the corporate finance team at Addleshaw Goddard, where he trained and qualified in 1995.
Speaking of the appointment Chris Schofield, said: “In response to market demand, we are focused on further strengthening our corporate finance team and this appointment very much underlines our commitment to this practice area. “As we go forward, we continue to maintain our high ratio of partners and senior lawyers to non-qualified and junior staff, which makes our service so distinctively partner-led.” Laurie Dale added: “Over the last year, Schofield Sweeney has acted for a number of high profile clients including Yorkshire Investment Group, Joseph Dawson Limited and Filtronic Plc. I am looking forward to the challenges this will bring and to working with such a fast growing and forward thinking firm.” Schofield Sweeney has recently been named in a Newsco Insider poll as one of the top 10 firms carrying out corporate finance work in the Yorkshire and Humber region. 29 March 2005
