SCHOFIELD SWEENEY MOVE TO PRESTIGIOUS NEW OFFICES

Move marks final stage of merger

Schofield Sweeney has moved into prestigious new offices in Church Bank, Bradford. The move is the final stage of the merger with fellow Bradford firm Sampson Horner that completed on 1 May, and will see staff from both firms working under the same roof for the first time

Clients and friends of Schofield Sweeney joined staff to celebrate the occasion with a champagne reception. A total of 31 staff have relocated from Schofield Sweeney’s old office in Canal Road and 23 from Sampson Horner’s offices in Eldon Place and Wibsey. The move represents a successful period of growth for the firm, which is now one of the largest practices in the city.

The new 16,000 sq ft office has undergone an extensive high specification refit that offers dramatically improved facilities for its clients and professional contacts. A key driver for the move was the need for more space and the firm now has 50 staff based in Bradford, including seven partners.

Schofield Sweeney Chairman, Chris Schofield, says: “Our new offices in Bradford will cement our reputation in the region and will help take the practice forwards while giving us impressive facilities for our clients.”

Managing Partner, Martin Sweeney, adds: “The move represents a major investment into Bradford, and this reflects our positive attitude towards the city. There has been much written about its regeneration and this demonstrates our commitment in the clearest possible terms. We want the very best for Bradford, and we like to think that we have shown some leadership in the context of its regeneration.“

Established in 1998, Schofield Sweeney is a specialist commercial law firm with offices in Bradford and Leeds. It provides legal advice and services to businesses, individuals with business interests and organisations with commercial activities. Following the merger, it now offers a much expanded private client service, including tax, trust and probate services.
