In this day and age with increased use of social media and far greater media interest in their day to day activities, Charities need to understand the modern challenges facing their organisation and keep up to date with changing legislation.
At our annual charity conference, we will look at the changing landscape for charities and give you the tools you need to minimise the modern day risks posed to your organisation. Our programme will comprise of the following:
As holders of significant amounts of personal data, not least about supporters, employees and volunteers, the new General Data Protection Regulation which comes into force in May 2018 represents one of the biggest changes that charitable organisations need to understand. Our data protection specialists will provide an overview of what the Regulation says and equip you with a step by step process to get your organisation privacy compliant.
Charities rely on the generous donations of time offered by its Trustees, volunteers and also its staff. However, even where people aren't paid for their involvement, charities are obliged to make sure that it undertakes the right checks to verify the identity of, and check the eligibility and suitability of those individuals it gets involved with its activities. Our employment and immigration expert will provide an overview of your organisation’s obligations and provide you with the tools and resources you need to undertake the right checks.
