David is a highly experienced corporate lawyer of 35 years’ service, working with business and individual clients on corporate and commercial transactions.
His practice largely comprises acquisitions and disposals of businesses, fundraisings, commercial contracting and assistance with constitutional and governance matters.
Most of David’s clients are substantial privately-owned businesses, for whom he sources and manages advice from specialists within the firm. He is well accustomed to advising on arrangements between shareholders and directors, and on structures to accommodate family participation and succession planning.
David has held several external appointments, which have given him much practical experience of corporate governance and handling stakeholder interests.
In a voluntary capacity, David is a trustee of Inspire North, a director of White Rose Academies Trust, a governor of Pocklington School and a member of the external fundraising committee for Leeds Festival Chorus.
