Company History
The firm was founded by Chris Schofield and Martin Sweeney, both previously partners at Ralph C Yablon in Bradford and before that practising at DLA. The firm is a specialist commercial law practice, combining considerable expertise and experience with value-for-money fees and the same service levels as national legal firms.
In 2006 Schofield Sweeney merged with Sampson Horner, a longstanding Bradford Firm, to strenghen and expand its private client services, including tax, trust and probate services.

- Business Advice - Company formations, company reorganisations, the sale and purchase of companies and business assets, advice to partners and company directors, MBO's, MBI's, public and private equity.
- Property Advice - The sale and purchase of commercial property, commercial property leases, planning and environment law.
- Projects/PFI - We have experience of closing PFI/PPP and NHS LIFT deals; advising both teh public and private sector.
- Insolvency - We specialise in all aspects of Corporate Recovery and Insolvency acting on behalf of Insolvency Practitioners from some of the large national firms, together with many of the small independent firms in the Yorkshire region.
- Dispute Resolution - The resolution of business disputes, debt collection, commercial property litigation.
- Employment - We act for both employers and senior employees in all aspects of employment law.
