Chris Schofield

Career and Practice

Chris was a founding partner of Schofield Sweeney in January 1998. Chris trained at Hammond Suddards; after qualification Chris worked at Dibb Lupton Broomhead (as an associate partner) and then Ralph C Yablon (as a partner) before becoming Company Secretary and Director responsible for group legal affairs at Filtronic plc in 1995. Chris was Yorkshire Post Lawyer of the Year (Corporate and In-house) 2001.

Although undertaking all general company and commercial work including the sale and purchase of private companies, investments and commercial terms and conditions Chris specialises in non-contentious intellectual property licensing with an emphasis on wireless infrastructure and semiconductor technologies for the mobile telecommunications markets in Europe and the USA.

Chris is based at our Leeds office.
